In partnership with the Ford Motor Company Fund , the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company, AWMF developed educational collateral and put it in the hands of teachers to stimulate and enhance classroom conversations about these female icons, who have pioneered in fields such as science, social reform, public service, sports, journalism, music and aviation. November Culture Alert- Free Community Activities

From Rina Rubenstein This is a very odd November: the month ends with Thanksgiving weekend, so almost all the listed   events are before then. (Chanuka coincides with T-day for the 1st time since 1888; this apparently won't happen again for another 77,798 years). But there's still plenty to do in LA this month, including the almost 800 free cultural events listed here: talks, walks, readings, plays, hikes, movies, openings, & concerts. Among the interesting people you can meet around town are Agn├Ęs Varda, Petula Clark, Jeff Garlin, Ann Rice, Tim Conway, Roy Choi, Corey Feldman, Graham Nash, Randi Zuckerberg, Artie Lange, Giada De Laurentiis, Tori Spelling, Will Ferrell, Mike Tyson, & astronaut Chris Hadfield.
