In just a few weeks, the profound grassroots youth organization LEAD (Leadership through Empowerment Action and Dialogue) will be opening their doors to close to 100 young people (ages 18-24) from all across the city of Angels. LEAD is located in the heart of Lincoln Heights. LEAD's mission is to facilitate the creation of community based on social justice campaigns and engage under-served young people in service-learning and action. LEAD will comprise of YouthBuild Charter School, vocational training, supportive services, job readiness/placement, and leadership.
