UNIDAD Workforce Development Training Program-Deadline is Jan. 20, 2014


CDTech is seeking 25 South Los Angeles community members to participate in six weeks of paid training with the UNIDAD Workforce Development Training Program. This program is specially designed to help South LA residents receive eduction and training to prepare themselves for immediate, entry level employment. 
 
Training begins in February and will be held Monday-Friday from 1:00PM-5:00PM! Application Deadline is Monday, January 20th at 5:00PM.

There are so many battles being fought in our society for righteousness. It is extremely saddening when you look into the core of these battles only to find hate and fear.   Yesterday, the bodybuilding community went into an internet frenzy regarding actor, bodybuilder, author and entrepreneur Kali Muscle for being “exposed” for Gay for Pay .   Gay for pay turned into Kali being actually gay according to what I saw. I began to read messages, blog posts and watch the videos that made statements such as people calling him a “butt pirate” or saying”Kali is gay. He is a disgrace to the bodybuilding world.” Oh and let’s not forget enormous amount of “F” bombs that were stamped all across the internet. Homophobic….. Is this really how the bodybuilding community wants to be seen? Kali is a friend and colleague of mine. Poem: "The Mask I Wear"

I am in the process of this journey of fully coming into who I am inside and out! I was taking a life design course and my world renowned coach, Dr. Ray Blanchard read this poem below. I have always thought I was my true authentic self, however, after hearing this poem and then reading it several times, I have come to realize that I have neglected ME in the process of being a giver and a nurturer to others. So I am removing the mask and seeing and loving me. Growing and learning in the process. Hope you remove yours as well. I would love to see YOU!!! I am the other you. You are the other me:) THE MASK I WEAR Don't be fooled by me. Don't be fooled by the face I wear   for I wear a mask. I wear a thousand masks-      masks that I'm afraid to take off   and none of them are me. Pretending is an art that's second nature with me But don't be fooled, for God's sake, don't be fooled.
