LEAD to Re-Ignite Lincoln Heights

Leadership through Empowerment Action and Dialogue (LEAD), Inc. Organization is honored to announce its official grand opening on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5:30 PM- 8:00 PM located in the heart of Lincoln Heights at 2310 Pasadena Ave., Suite 201, Los Angeles, California. LEAD thrives at empowering underserved youth with a voice and powerful movement to becoming agents of change in their communities. The program is uniquely designed to provide young people ages 16-24 with essential skill sets comprised of leadership, educational, transformational and workforce development programs. LEAD was founded in 2006  and has served over 3000 young people around the world. In the summer of 2014, LEAD joined forces with the internationally renowned organization Youthbuild USA Inc. and hence LEAD Youthbuild opened its doors in the enriched community of Lincoln Heights.  LEAD flourishes on its core values, which are Love, Responsibility, and Leadership.

Ely Flores, Founder and Executive Director, is a profound transformational game changer. He has an extensive background in community organizing and provides leadership development trainings all across the world. He also is the first YouthBuild graduate to establish his very own YouthBuild program.  He stated, “I decided to make Lincoln Heights the home for LEAD because this community has a powerful affluent history in social justice. I wanted our young people to be a part of reigniting the spark of change in this community.”

You are invited to engage with some of the young LEADers of the program, teachers, staff as well as board members. Join in the sheer excitement as LEAD prepares to complete its first academic year. Come see the astounding highlights that have transpired at this inaugural gala.

Indulge in the delicious food from one of the distinguished sponsors Maracas Café’and Catering. Additional sponsors are Claremont Lincoln University and ATS Audio Visual.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

There will be great people, great food, and remarkable opportunities to build relationships with an influential community.
