S.T.A.R.S Foundation Lifts Every Voice
The renowned international vocal ensemble Singers Taking Action Reaching Souls better known as The S.T.A.R.S. sets the unifying tone across the globe in using their undeniable"God-given" talent; the gift of song. With breath-taking performances throughout the US, Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, The S.T.A.R.S. sing their hearts out for the beautiful purpose of connection. Their genre is as far and wide as the world as well including Pop, Jazz, Broadway, R & B, Gospel, Inspirational and Quartet Standards just to name a few.
The S.T.A.R.S. exemplify raising their voices by raising funds to bring singing groups together wherever they go. They recently ignited a campaign to bring the Kenya's famous singing group 'Safari Voices International' to the US for an unforgettable free concert that will be taking place on October 18, 2015 in Zoe Ministries in New York, NY. On October 16, 2015, Safari Voices International and Nuhjume, the trio of S.T.A.R.S., will be sharing the stage with award-winning R & B singers and songwriters Kelly Price and Kenny Lattimore at a "The Gathering UPHI 2015" concert at United Palace House of Inspiration.
In addition to their concerts, The S.T.A.R.S. also hosts International Bowl-A-Thons throughout the year. This is accomplished by teams that are formed in different cities, states and countries to raise funds for the foundation. There was an International Bowl-A-Thon held on October 11, 2015 with teams participating in Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Las Vegas, Detroit, Minneapolis, Denver, Washington D.C., New York, Florida, Bermuda, Hong Kong and Sidney, Australia.
The S.T.A.R.S. was founded in 2000 by Harvey Fuqua and his beloved wife Dr. Carolyne Fuqua. If these names sound familiar, they are in fact iconic. Mr. Harvey Fuqua was a co-founding member of renowned Motown Records and Dr. Carolyne Fuqua is celebrated as one of today's most influential spiritual transformational leaders as well as a prominent songstress, songwriter and producer.
