Salon with down home atmosphere and a name with a hidden heart-felt message caters to a top tier celebrity clientele such as Stevie Wonder and Pasadena’s urban community celebrates, Sat., December 18th in Pasadena.


(Charles Walker aka Chuck opened his barber shop, Just In Time Hair Trends in Pasadena 20 years ago on December 18th, 1990. The son of an Arkansas barber and the youngest of six brothers who were all barbers, Chuck’s destiny was written in stone. Originally it wasn’t his plan, but his mother stepped in (“She forced me.” says Chuck) and advised that having a skill would ensure employment and food on the table. So, at the early age of 13, young Chuck Walker became a licensed barber in Springfield, Arkansas which he describes as, “Little House on the Prairie.”

Years later, after his move to LA’s metro district in sunny California, Chuck decided to name his own shop located in Pasadena after his son Justin, who tragically died from cancer at the age of 7.  Chuck vowed never to forget his son and as a tribute, Justin In Time Hair Trends was born. Chuck says, “I wanted people to say my son’s name a billion times even though they didn’t know they were saying it.” The thought of this type of memoriam is very heartfelt.

Chuck has never advertised but he let’s the work represent what he does best. He says “Best advertising is self testimony.” Well, word or “testimony” has spread that his barber and salon shop Just In Time Hair Trends is the place to go for the smart urban consumer looking for a precision cut and total hair grooming for men and women.  Among his celebrity clientele include:  Stevie Wonder, Jon B, former Motown VP Frank Wilson, producer/actor                      Eric Laneuville, American football receiver for the Green Bay Packers Derrick Harden, actor Meshach Taylor’s children, actor Isa Hall and many rappers who prefer to remain anonymous.

On the day of his twentieth year in business, Saturday December 18th 2010, during Christmas time, Charles “Chuck” Walker will celebrate and honor the memory of his son Justin at his Pasadena salon Just In Time Hair Trends located at 1272 North Lake Avenue, Pasadena, CA  91104 @ 7:00PM till 10:00PM in red carpet fashion. There will be champagne, hors d’hoeuvers, live DJ, gifting suite, entertainment and more. Many celebrities will be in attendance including, Media Mogul Lee Bailey, comedienne Annie McKnight, video vixen Suzette Tomlinson, actress Donna Rowe, Pop/R&B singer Trueful, R&B singer Tisto and many others.

Poem: "The Mask I Wear"

I am in the process of this journey of fully coming into who I am inside and out! I was taking a life design course and my world renowned coach, Dr. Ray Blanchard read this poem below. I have always thought I was my true authentic self, however, after hearing this poem and then reading it several times, I have come to realize that I have neglected ME in the process of being a giver and a nurturer to others. So I am removing the mask and seeing and loving me. Growing and learning in the process. Hope you remove yours as well. I would love to see YOU!!! I am the other you. You are the other me:) THE MASK I WEAR Don't be fooled by me. Don't be fooled by the face I wear   for I wear a mask.
