On June 19, 2011 Estelle for Humanity, KIA & Associates, and CORE CA presented the annual Honor Thy Father Awards Dinner Ceremony.  It was indeed lights, camera and action as this year celebrated its 10th anniversary.
This prestigious event gave family and friends the opportunity to celebrate their father, husband, uncle, brother or male mentor in grand style.
The 10th Annual "Honor Thy Father” (HTF) Awards Dinner was started in 2002 to recognize the men who have made contributions to their families, community, churches and businesses. It is the first Awards Dinner honoring the men that are true pillars of the family. The Honor Thy Father Awards is hosted on Fathers Day, and has honored close to two hundred men.

Mr. Percy Pinkney State President of BAPAC received the Celes King III Prestigious Award, and Mariam Shabazz received the special “Illuminating the Journey” Award.  Dr. Anthony Samad gave the illustrious Keynote Address. The honorees for this year were: Allistair Andrew Baird who was surrounded by his family and friends. Damien Halliburton who was so surprised to see his baby girls express themselves on the screen with “Words from the Heart”. Miguel Paredes who is described by his family as a hard worker and a great father, and Katherine Kao described her father Michael H. Kao as amazing and the ideal role model. John MC Cree was told he was just going to dinner, and found out he was being honored. Stanley Combs who was honored by his wife and two children was overwhelmed with emotion.  Elder Michael Cummings who was described by his daughter as the best dad in the whole world, and James Block was said by his daughter and son to be funny, supportive, outgoing, loving and caring. Amil Di won Smith was beaming with admiration as he walked down the red carpet.                                                                                                                                                               &nbs p;
Each honoree felt very special and had their time to shine at the HTF Awards Dinner when they experience the famous Red Carpet walk and were interviewed by Michelle Moore Bell.
Back by popular demand were Pearl Jr. as this years Mistress of Ceremonies and Gerry Foster as the Master of Ceremonies. Both are professional speakers and provide great chemistry when on stage together. The entertainment was provided by Chazz, the Crenshaw High School Choir, and the Bright Rhythm International Ensemble.
 “During this time in history when everyone one is preoccupied with the economy and escalating gas prices…. I wanted to divert from the crazy stuff and make the primary focus a monumental celebration for fathers, and family, and that’s what we accomplished” said founder Denise Estelle, CEO of Estelle for Humanity.
“At the end of the program you could feel the Love, Joy and appreciation for the vision of Denise Estelle for such a wonderful program. Rejoicing in the spirit of life one family at a time. This year was the best ever and will continue to grow.” Said Jerry Kiper of KIA & Associates.
