Old School Lives For Good!

Old School touched the lives of new school on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the El Rey Theater in Los Anegels, CA. I am talking about "Old School Lives: One Nation Under a Cause" presented by Kierrah Events and Velvet Ropes Ent.and it was all the way LIVE!!! It was for sure Aqua Boogie Baby, giving you 70's and 80's flava.

With electrifying opening acts from the Nu school babes, The Agape Youth Choir and Nu Skool Sings Old School Kids. These young hearts definitely have old souls as they sang some hits that has us movin and groovin.
Even more "Out of sight" and  "Dy-no-mite" were the soul stirring performances by great legends Evelyn "Champagne" King, Lenny Williams and Brenda Lee Eager.
It did not stop there, there were also astounding tributes to some of the legends who are no longer with us such as Teena Marie, Curtis Mayfield, Vesta Williams, Luther Vandross and more by Dorothy Pincus Coleman Pincus, Ebony Fay, Lexie Cole, Mercedes Robinson York, Ray Davis and Tim McAfee Lewis.

Old School hip hop was also represented by Tiffany iCatching, Toya Rene, Footworkingz and friends as they paid tribute to Legendary Hip Hop Queens, Salt N Pepa with their performance of "Push it"
A profound highlight of the night was Honoring Legendary Women of Music Awards were presented to Janie Bradford, legendary Songwriter  of Motown and phenomenal legend Claudette Robinson (Formerly of the Miracles).
This outstanding gala culminated with the laughter, strong voice and amazing smile of  The Original Bad Girl of Comedy, Luenell!
Old and Nu School celebrity attendees include Ernest Thomas, Rolls Royce, Marla Gibbs , Linda Hopkins, Tiffany "New York" Pollard, LaMar Lubin, Porscha Coleman, Betty Jean Coleman, Cher Rue, Johnny V, Antoinette Genesis, Nikki Storm, Alana Chandler, Kanisha Johnson, Joshua Silverstein, Gramma Funk, Kathleen Bradley and Une just to name a few!
Proceeds from Old School Lives went to The Kierrah Foundation for their support of former foster young women and their children. Brandy Sanders, Founder of The Kierrah Foundation and CEO of Kierrah Events is in preparation for 5 Holiday events, yes this holiday season,  to support The Kierrah Foundation.
