Today was indeed a momentous day with millions of hearts uniting together. It marked the 20th Anniversary of the iconic Million Man March which took place again at the National Mall in the nation's capital. Men, women and children participated in this historic day of change. Minister Louis Farrakhan was again a powerful speaker and leader today as he was in 1995. The Los Angeles African American Women's Public Policy Institute along with Southern California Edison will be honoring leading women who are influential leaders in their industries and the communities that they serve. The Women in Action Gala Awards Reception will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles, Crystal Room starting at 6 PM.
